Full service landscape construction includes: Landscape design, interlocking paver walkways, patios, and driveways, interlocking wall systems, boulder walls, poolscapes, drainage systems, trucking, excavation, grading, new lawn installations, sodding of lawns, water gardens, natural stone walls and walkways, low voltage lighting, fire pits, and entire yard makeovers.

Trucking & Excavation:

If you have a project that requires real professionals for moving a lot of dirt, re-grading the yard or drainage solutions we can help. Most landscape companies don’t have the trucks and equipment that we are so proud of. Simply put, we can help when most others just can’t.

Landscape Materials:

Customers can look through a variety of options for their own yard or project. We stock over twenty options of bulk materials including mulch, topsoil, gravel, landscape stone, sand, & boulders. Customers have a tremendous selection to choose from. If you don't think you see what you are looking for, ASK. We may be able to help. Due to the fact that we install what we sell, from our experience, we can give the best advice to those doing projects on their own.

Snow Management:

Snow plowing & Salt/Sand is also available for large sites such as home improvement centers, movie theatres, malls, and distribution centers. We utilize our heavy equipment with snow pushers, large plow trucks and Bobcat equipment to provide excellent snow removal service.

Daren Rokicki is a graduate of Nichols College with a Bachelor of Science in General Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing. Today, Daren strives to deliver landscape products and services in a professional manner. Daren involves himself in every aspect of the business to ensure the quality and service that Birch Mountain Earthworks is known for today.

When Daren comes out to look at your project, know that he brings with him not only the experience of doing hundreds of jobs, experience with permits and variances, but also the most capable line up of equipment and trucks in the industry to perform your job. Daren is known to have the most creative mind in landscape construction. He has come up with the layouts and designs that most could not imagine. While out on landscape consultations it is common for Daren to hear, “no one else has come up with that” or “we have had a few guys come out and this is the most creative concept by far”. He enjoys using this creativity to bring the nicest landscapes in the industry to you.

With over 20 years of experience in the landscape industry Daren can help with your project. Starting in eighth grade Daren began mowing neighbor's lawns and plowing snow. He then did landscape projects through high school and college for those same customers. Each year that followed became busier and involved larger scale projects as the word spread about the expert advise, quality, and craftsmanship. What is known today as a "Birch Mountain" job is the quality that started from the beginning, only better.

Joseph Rokicki

Seasons at Birch Mountain Earthworks, LLC: Since Inception

Joe is a mechanical engineer with an undergraduate engineering degree from Northeastern University in Boston, MA. Joe also holds a masters degree in Management from Rensselaer University. He applied his engineering background at Pratt & Whitney for over 30 years. He has also owned a business building cabinetry, home building and remodeling. He is a master carpenter, excellent welder, and a superb bulldozer operator. Joe is hoping that you have a job needing bulldozer work because he loves to use the bulldozer!

When Daren began doing landscape projects, Joe would help with projects to make sure they were properly engineered. He has helped Daren with his business and mentored him throughout his entire career. As Birch Mountain has grown, there has been a need for Joe to work full time for Birch Mountain. Today he works 7 days a week at Birch Mountain. He is extremely dedicated to his work and does all possible to ensure quality projects. Joe lives to come up with better methods and techniques to have projects come out the best possible. He has researched and developed several tools that are used every day on projects that have added safety, quality, and efficiency. Look forward to Joe’s expert advice from over 35 years of engineering experience.

Robert Laughran

Bob has a background from UConn in landscape design and horticulture. He is an expert at plant selection and can find our customers the best quality and value of plants for their landscape projects at nurseries here in New England. Bob also has several years experience in business management from large organizations with over one hundred employees to small family businesses. He also owned his own landscape business prior to joining the team at Birch Mountain.

Bob enjoys working with customers to layout their landscapes. At Birch Mountain we refer to Bob as “Birch Bob” or the “plant guy.” Bob is involved in Birch Mountain projects from the pre-construction meeting to the finishing touches. He has training in low voltage lighting and can recommend a lighting layout that will truly enhance your landscape. Bob has extensive knowledge of plant material and is able to exceed the expectations of our customers.

He has worked in the Landscaping Industry now for over 12 years and has helped Birch Mountain become the industry leader in landscape construction.
