Interlocking concrete pavers are today’s most popular choice for walkways.  Options include different sizes, shapes, colors and finishes.  Tumbled pavers are pavers in which the edges are “tumbled” to give a more natural stone like appearance.  Other choices include a variety of natural stone options including bluestone, flag stone, quarry stone and field stone.  Pavers are the most commonly used material for walkways as they are consistent in thickness and create a safe surface to walk on.  Paver walkways are found to be easy to shovel or snow blow in the winter as well.
